A while ago , the cast for this year ’ s annual school play , Grease , was selected . Soon after their selection , play rehearsal started . Some people might not realize the difficulty of play rehearsal , attempting to memorize 2 + hours worth of text along with movements choreographed down to how you fidget with your fingers and attempting to keep up this persona that may or may not be the complete polar opposite of your actual personality is hard . It ’ s challenging and it ’ s difficult and what I ’ m going to do is give you an inside look by interviewing some of the cast at rehearsals while also giving my own experience with this year ’ s play , seeing as I am the lead role , Danny Zuko .

How do you feel like things will go this year with the play ? “ Pretty swell if I say so myself , especially the choreography and singing .”
What ’ s your favorite thing about rehearsing ? “ Spending time with the cast , I ’ ve definitely become friends with all of them , they ’ re all really great to hang out with and talk to !”
How would you describe being part of the play ? “ It ’ s special to me , ever since I was little I thought actors / actresses and singers were so cool and I ’ ve always wanted to do something in that field , and in this play I get to do both and that makes to a special experience for me .”
Is it pressuring / difficult being one of the main leads ? How so ? “ It isn ’ t so difficult as it is pressuring , I just feel that sometimes I won ’ t end up being good enough to play this character , or that everyone will judge me , but I avoid thinking that because I know that I ’ ll do great .” 10
