Decorating:
Vanilla Frosting
Food coloring: orange, green,
and black
Circle cookie cutter or a
Pumpkin cookie cutter
Piping bag or plastic bag

Get three bowls
out and put vanilla
frosting in it
Put food coloring
until it is the color
you want
Put your frosting
in separate piping
bags or sandwich
bag
Cut off the tips of
it
Then be
CREATIVE
decorate your
pumpkin in
different designs
You will need:
10 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 ¼ granulated sugar
¾ cup plus 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
¼ rounded teaspoon of kosher salt
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 large eggs
½ cup all purpose flour
8 inch square pan
Directions:
Position your oven rack in the lower
third/second rack
Heat oven to 325 degrees
Line the sides and bottom of your pan
with parchment paper
Then get a saucepan and fill it up with
with water at least until 1 or 2 inches
deep
Heat water until barely simmering
Combine butter, sugar, cocoa
powder, and salt in a medium safe
bowl
Rest the bowl on the saucepan
( If bowl touches the water take out a
little water out )
Stir occasionally until butter is
melted and the mixture is warm
Remove bowl and set it off to the side
for 3-5 minutes
Stir in the vanilla
Add eggs but one at a time
When the batter looks thick add in
the flour
Beat with wooden spoon at least
40-50 strokes
You know the batter is done when the
batter is pulling away from the side
Spread evenly onto the lined pan
Bake to about 20-25 min
