As students, we all have that one icon you aspire to be like. Be it the Kardashians, Rihanna, Chanel or any other celebrity stylist which is okay because they inspire you. The main important thing is to always remember to do you. In the words of FenaS Gitu, “keep it classy, keep it real”. There is nothing as beautiful as a man or woman who’s comfortable in his own skin. The key thing is accepting who you are and know you are beautifully and wonderfully made as the scriptures put it. Ladies makeup is usually part of our wardrobe it should not be used to camouflage who we really are but rather to enhance it. Just minimal is enough, be careful with the kind of products you use because not all of them are skin friendly. Another reminder is to remove make up before going to bed. When it comes to clothes, dress your type. Just because it looks good on me doesn’t necessarily mean it looks good on you. We are all blessed with different body types and skin tones. So, dress according to your body type and accentuate your best features. A nice pair of shoes will also do you good. As Coco Chanel puts it, “before you leave the house, look in the mirror and remove one accessory.” Finally, let us not make fashion lead us into forgetting the core business that brought you to school or work. We all come to school to study or go to work to perform our best and that should always be our main objective. Beauty and Brains go together
