Over the past ten years, teenagers’ spending has gone down on nonnecessities
such as clothing, which is a good thing, but it is still the highestspent category out of all
the others.
The following graph represents the percentages of their spendings, as if they do
not save their money at all. This graph represents a very accurate and precise
explanation of why clothing stores thrive all year long, and will cherish teenagers for a
very long time when it comes to profit in their pockets.
Teenagers now live in a society that money can buy anything, and they will take
that for granted. But in order for them to learn how to appreciate money and spend
wisely, they must break the habit of giving away their money and make the habit of
saving whatever they can, in which will benefit them in the future, even though they may
not see it now.
