Ironhorse is a par-72 that , by today ’ s standards , is really not that long — only about 6,900 yards from the tips . So , getting the ball out there is not the issue — getting the ball to land where it needs to is ! With six tees to choose from , the course measures 6,889 yards from the tips ( black tees ). Its course rating is 73.6 , and its slope is 144 . The more comfortable white tees are played at 5,819 yards , the senior tees at 5,325 yards , and the forward tees at 4,745 yards .

A favorite hole for many is also one of the shortest . Played at 371 yards from the back , the par-4 11th ( photo above left ) offers three options off the tee — to three different fairways ! You can choose driver and hit over the trees , hit a fairway wood left over the creek and play it safe , or lay up straight away to about 150 yards out . “ It ’ s a fun hole to play ,” said Underwood . “ You can play it differently each time you play it and decide the best way for your game .”

Ironhorse saves one of its most challenging holes to cap your day off . Many golfers label No . 18 as one of the hardest holes . A par 4 , it ’ s 475 yards from the back tees and requires a carry of at least 175 yards over a big ravine just to get to the fairway . Even from the gold tees , it ’ s 394 yards , plus there ’ s a carry over water fronting the green . “ Very challenging hole ,” says Underwood . “ You can make a real good par here or a dreaded double bogey if you ’ re not careful . Not a good hole to ‘ press ’ your bets unless your round has been solid all day .”

As far as green fee rates , Ironhorse Golf Club uses “ Dynamic Pricing ,” which , by definition , means “ constant change .” In general , its inseason 2024 green fees ( March- November ) with cart range from $ 50 - $ 85 ( subject to change ).
