Farrell assumed the position of PGA Director of Instruction at Oakwood in January 2022 . Her journey from a smalltown athlete to a seasoned golf professional showcases her dedication , hard work , and unwavering passion for the sport .
She is also excited about the new performance center recently constructed at Oakwood .

With a decade of building a dedicated clientele , Farrell has brought her talents and moniker of “ Coach Mo ” to Oakwood . She ’ s an awardwinning golf professional with accolades , including the prestigious Golf Digest Best in State Teacher for 2022-2023 and a two-time award winner of the Golf Digest Best Young Teachers in America ( 2021-2024 ). She is an advocate for golfers and is proud of the amenities the club offers , considering them second to none . Her ambition is to foster a sense of community within the golfing world , encouraging everyone to find their place in the sport . “ I have been hands-on in building out the new state-of-the-art facility and getting the best-in-class technology here ,” said Farrell . “ We have the best the business has to offer , in my opinion . I am also excited about getting to know the membership , as people are my passion . I believe everyone has a story to tell , and I want to know it and use it to help me coach them more efficiently while gaining their trust . Golf is a great avenue to do that .”
Today , Farrell continues to give back to the sport that shaped her life . Her coaching prowess spans all ages and skill levels .

When Farrell steps away from the golf course , she wholeheartedly embraces her role as a loving mother to her four-year-old son , Matthew , and their chocolate lab , Scout . With Farrell ’ s guidance , Matthew is delving into various sports , immersing himself in outdoor activities from Farm School to hunting and fishing .
