Shamet began working at Heritage Park in July 2020, when tee boxes and bunkers were upgraded, and the driving range was laser leveled, featuring Zoysia turf just like the fairways. If you want to test every facet of your golf game, Heritage Park is the place to play.“ You’ ll use every club in your bag, and when you’ re finished, you’ ll feel tested, but not beat up,” Wilkin said. A round of golf here offers a little bit of everything, leaving you looking forward to a return trip.
Heritage Park also offers a six-hole Wee Links Golf Course available for play. It’ s ideal for young and beginner golfers to play golf and learn the game.
The six-hole Wee Links course is a par-18 golf course built on approximately one acre of land. The longest hole is 30 yards, and the entire course is less than 160 yards long. Greens are 15-20 feet in diameter. The cups are larger than a regulation cup( six inches instead of 4.25 inches), and the flagsticks are five feet tall, making them easy for young players to handle. Tee boxes are 3 × 6-foot rectangles of artificial turf. Six holes can be played in 20 minutes, and 18 holes can be played in an hour.
Wee Links is ideal for introducing the game of golf to anyone of any age, teaching putting, chipping, and pitching. It’ s ideal for instruction. It’ s perfectly suited for individual play and social play activities for experienced players. It is extremely affordable— the course fee is only $ 3 per person.
