Shamrock Hills Claims 7th Men ’ s KC Cup Title
Sykes / Lady OP Team Wins the Women ’ s 2023 KC Cup Championship
The Sykes / Lady OP team defeated Sunflower Hills , 2 to 1 , October 5 , at Prairie Highlands Golf Course .
Shamrock Hills 2023 KC Cup Team
Shamrock Hills wins the 2023 Men ’ s KC Cup over Stone Canyon 6 to 5 for its seventh KC Cup title . The championship match was held in October at Fred Arbanas Golf Course . Stone Canyon , which opened in May 2009 , won the KC Cup Championships in 2017 and again in 2020 . With its latest seventh victory , Shamrock ties Wolf Creek for the most KC Cup wins , with Wolf Creek ’ s last win coming in 2014 .
Shamrock Hills also tied the record with Wolf Creek for most back-toback KC Cup Championships , with Shamrock Hills four back-to-back wins in 2008 and 2009 , then again with victories in 2015 and 2016 . Wolf Creek had four back-to-back wins in 1994 and 1995 and again in 2000 and 2001 .
Perhaps one day , Shamrock Hills and Wolf Creek will play a tiebreaker match to determine the undisputed KC Cup Champions .
The team in these vibrantly colorful outfits was comprised of Kristy Eaton , Molly Rector , Charlene Perry , Patsy Byrnes , Baile Stephenson , and Rene Buzicky .
