The Battlefield offers 18 unique full-length par 3 holes , allowing players of all levels to use every iron in their bag if they desire . Standing apart from the Championship Golf facility , the par 3s are built on 80 acres of rugged terrain with more than 100 feet of elevation changes throughout the property . As you wind through the natural feel of creeks and falls , exposed rock outcroppings and railroad ties hold the land together . Although the course is built for all players , the challenge you take on is up to you . With five sets of tees , players can choose the more manageable and shorter teeing options with more direct access from tee to green . Players may choose to push play to the back set of tees , which brings the beautiful and well-placed bunkers , creeks , and dramatic greens ’ complex features into play . From the back tees , the Battlefield presents holes ranging from 110 – 245 yards long .

After a day on the course , kick-back at Shangri-La ’ s sprawling 6,500-square-foot outdoor resort pool with splash pad , tanning ledge , hot tub , food and beverage services , and fire pits .
“ It ’ s not like the typical par 3 course ,” said Jerrod Neighbors , PGA Head Golf Professional at The Battlefield . “ At most par 3 courses , you find yourself using the same three clubs over and over . The Battlefield isn ’ t like that . Bring all your clubs . You can use them all ! Play different tees . Experience different games . Mix it up . And have a great time ! It can be a different experience every time you play it !”
Although some players may prefer to walk the rolling course , golf carts will be available for daily play . A patio overlooks the beautiful landscape where you can relax following play and see several green complexes throughout the course . Inside the clubhouse , the Canteen provides fresh tacos , wraps , and salads with a full signature cocktail menu . The Battlefield golf shop offers a historic feel with great souvenirs and clothing options for all your golfing needs .
The Battlefield is open six days a week ( closed Wednesdays ). The Championship Course at Shangri-La is open for play seven days a week .
