“ I began working at Overland Park at age 15 and stayed there until I was 31 ,” reflected Chalk , tracing his journey from a young boy picking up a used set of clubs for the first time to a seasoned golf professional .
During his time at Overland Park Golf Course in 2018 , Chalk had the opportunity to play in a Midwest Section PGA championship alongside the director of golf at Milburn Country Club , Luke Smith . Their camaraderie blossomed , leading to a friendship that would ultimately change the course of Chalk ’ s career . Smith , impressed by Chalk ’ s passion for the game and his dedication to honing his skills , encouraged him in 2019 to apply for the head professional position at Milburn . Seizing the opportunity with both hands , Chalk landed the job in 2020 after Kyle Capps , then head professional at Millburn , took a position at Hallbrook Country Club . Chalk has thrived in his role ever since .
As a Midwest Section PGA member , Chalk ’ s commitment to the organization and the game it supports remains steadfast . Serving on the Education Committee , he plays a pivotal role in organizing meetings , clinics , and seminars to support his fellow professionals and foster growth within the golf community . His passion for golf extends beyond the confines of the course , spilling over into every aspect of his life .
Outside of golf , Chalk finds solace in spending time with his family and cherishing moments with his wife , Paige , and their two young children . An avid sports enthusiast , he revels in the excitement of Formula One racing , soccer , and a myriad of other sports as a fan , finding joy in the lessons and entertainment they offer .
Always seeking new challenges , Chalk recently discovered a passion for photography with his new drone . He uses it to capture breathtaking views and shares them on social media , adding a unique perspective to the club ’ s events .
