Your round will finish on the beautiful par-3 18th island green , a true signature hole . Don ’ t end your day — All Wet ! But not to worry , you can retrieve your golf balls at Golf Ball Paul ’ s — it ’ s in the bag !
The par-3 15th , plays 177 yards from the white tees and 200 from the tips . The green slopes from back to front and can be tough to putt on depending on pin placement because of the slope .
After your round , you ’ ll want to kickback and tally the skins in the Traditions Restaurant , which complements the course in every way . They ’ ll deliver any item on the menu — from a steak to a sandwich — to golfers on the course . There is also a large patio overlooking the 18th island green where you can watch players hit their shot in the water as I did !
Mules National golf shop is fully stocked with everything you need for your round . In-season green fees ( with cart ) are only $ 34 weekdays — as affordable as you ’ ll find ( Rates are tax included and subject to change ). The course is comparable to a great course like Shoal Creek where weekday rates are about $ 60 . However , because Mules National is a college-owned course , its rates are kept at a very affordable price . Paying only $ 34 for 18-holes with cart at a golf course of this high caliber is a true — “ No Brainer !”
As I mentioned previously , if you have not played Mules National yet , you may want to add it to your “ courses to play list ” for 2024 . Just don ’ t choke on the 18th !
