One more thing many golfers will appreciate— affordability. Depending on the time of year, green fees are just $ 89 or $ 109, well below the going rate at most golf destinations. Golf packages are also available and start at $ 139 and include lodging at four separate properties within the resort— Dancing Rabbit Inn, Silverstar Hotel and Casino, Golden Moon Hotel and Casino, and eight lavish king guest rooms with whirlpool baths in the clubhouse. Both the Silverstar and Golden Moon offer multiple dining places.

The Choctaw Nation has a long and tumultuous history dating back to 1549. Over the years, the U. S. Congress made several attempts to evict the Choctaws. On September 7, 1830, more than 6,000 Choctaws from three Choctaw districts gathered near Dancing Rabbit Creek to set in motion the signing of the Treaty of Dancing Rabbit. While the treaty guaranteed the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians could remain in Mississippi, more than 10 million acres had to be surrendered to the federal government, and more than 5,000 Choctaws fled west to Oklahoma, leaving only a little over 1,000 in Mississippi. The Choctaws’ resolve and spirit of hospitality are on display at the stunning Pearl River Resort in Mississippi.
