The 2024 Midwest Junior PGA Champions Crowned
and Heading to the National Junior PGA Championship by Bill Cromwell
The 2024 Midwest Junior PGA Championship was held at Fred Arbanas Golf Course June 26-27 . A strong field of junior golfers included 70 boys and 24 girls ages 13-18 , who competed for two days , playing 36 holes during blazing hot temperatures and firing scores just as hot .
Impressive golf by these talented juniors . In fact , they have qualified for the 2024 National Junior PGA Championship at Congressional Country Club , Bethesda , MD , on July 30-August 2 .
Round one ( June 26 ) of the Championship was led by Hayes McIntosh in the boys ’ overall division ( 16-18-year-olds ) with a score of 67 ( -5 ), Bailey Burkett led the girls ’ overall with a 67 ( -5 ).

2024 Champion Bennett Warren ►
Round two ( June 27 ) of the Championship saw juniors once again firing hot scores . Bennett Warren was crowned the boys ’ overall ( 16-18-year-olds ) Midwest Junior PGA Champion , shooting rounds of 69 and 67 ( -8 ) for a total of 136 . Warren dropped 12 birdies and one eagle during his 36 holes , edging out Brady Rapp , who finished second by just two strokes . Rapp shot rounds of 69 and 69 ( -6 ) for a total of 138 . He dropped nine birdies and one eagle during his 36 holes .
Joining them at the National Junior PGA Championship at Congressional Country Club will be girls ’ ( 16-18-year-olds ) overall champion Bailey Burkett and second-place finisher Emree Cameron . Burkett , dominating the field , shot seven birdies and one eagle during her rounds of 67 and 70 ( -7 ), totaling 137 . Cameron dropped three birdies during her rounds of 75 and 73 (+ 4 ), a total of 148 , claiming second place and her ticket to Congressional .
These juniors are impressive ! We wish them more success at the National Championship . Watch for them !
