CLOSING THE SALE
How you close the sale is very important as this is the last thing the customer will remember. You will find this easier with experience and it will come naturally to you as you gain more confidence.
There are four steps to closing a sale:
1. RECOMMEND
2. REFUND POLICY
3. THANK
4. MAKE THEIR DAY
Just before you close the sale, you need to RECCOMMEND other products which will compliment what the customer is buying. For example, an accessory to match. This will increase the sale value and help the company meet it's KPIs.
You need to explain the REFUND POLICY to the customer and ensure they are happy with it and agree to it before closing the sale.
After you have processed the sale you must always THANK the customer for shopping this us. Then you should go the extra mile for the customer and MAKE THEIR DAY by complimenting them! Therefore they will leave the store feeling good about their shopping experience and are likely to recommend us to a friend.
