attractive fishing villages, Mordoğan and Karaburun. Two of the students, Sudenaz and Eren from 7/C go on telling him along the way about Mordoğan: "Mordoğan is 80 km far from İzmir. It is a beach town as beautiful as Karaburun. It is famous for especially Ayıbalığı rocks and Ardıç Beach. It is also famous for amateur fishing and seventy kinds of purple flowers. It was founded in B.C 4 th century, called Mimas. It has also attractive beaches where you can enjoy swimming and spending time. It has high range of oxygen in the air so you should go and take lots of fresh air full of oxygen there." Toprak , from 7/C is excited to tell about Karaburun: "Karaburun is 100 km far from İzmir. In Karaburun, there are pleasant hotels, tea gardens and fish restaurants. On the top of Manastır Mountain you can enjoy an unforgettable view of the Karaburun coast; it is an alternative tourism paradise. There are a lot of shore towns, harbors all aspects of alternative tourism. The peninsula has a rich potential in alternative touristic activities such as diving, nature walks, village tours, ecotourism and agricultural tourism. Karaburun has clean sea, diving spots, areas for line fishing and boat rides, untapped and peaceful bays, beaches, amazing panoramas, cool breeze during the summer, almost no humidity, tasty sea dishes and local restaurants. You can access some of the bays only by boats. Eşendere, Saipaltı, İğdealtı, Büyükkent, Dolungaz, Yıldızkent, Akçakilise, Yeniliman and Kumbükü are beaches of Karaburun. The Kuyucak and Akvaryum beaches are also blue flagged beaches. Karaburun has Mediterranean climate. It has a lot of myths, too. Mimas Mountain, mentioned in Homer’s’ Odyssey, is the mountain. we call it as Bozdağ today. Mimas, a giant that went to war with Zeus was killed and buried under the mountain for eternity. It is believed that the name of Lake Iris comes from this legend. Another myth concerns Narcissus." Technobird loves Karaburun and Mordoğan, too. It is time to leave now for him because other students in their project are waiting for him. Before he leaves, Misak-ı Milli Secondary School Project Team gives him Lokma to eat in order not to get hungry while flying. Because his trip in İzmir is still going on. He asks: "What kind of food is it? I like it very much." Dila, the leader of the group says: "It is a traditional İzmir food made from flour, yeast, salt and warm water. After making dough with these ingredients, it is fried in very hot flower oil." Technobird and they eat it with syrup. They are all happy that he likes it. Then they wave to him and say aaltogether: "Goodbye Technobird. We love you very much. Please come and visit us again." He flies to meet Anafartalar Primary School Project Team both eTwinning Project Coordinator Ülkü Ünver Çelebi and her students in the project. They are looking forward to meeting Technobird. 30
