famous for the breakfast served there, and the copper shops. We buy some cups made of copper for TechnoBird as a gift. We get really worn out by the evening. So, one of our friends, Ruken, wants to welcome us at her house. Her mother servesstuffed sheep sausages (mumbar dolması), hot spicy tomato dip(acılı ezme), lentil soup, and stuffed meatballs. After eating the dinner, TechnoBird can’t move anywhere for a while. We are all stuffed. He mentions that “After these super duper delicious food I’ve had here, I don’t think I’ll ever like to have others.” We all laugh out loud. We also talk about the spices and the weather. TechnoBird is amazed as we tell we don’t have cold weather and it is really hot in the summer, more than 40 celsius degrees. When it is almost midnight, we turn back to our homes, but TechnoBird stays at our teacher’s home. The next day, we meet at 10 a.m. to eat liver as breakfast, which is a tradition. We decide to go to Eğil to visit the religious and historical places there today. TechnoBird is astonished by how the graves look really long. We remind it that people were taller in the past, and they are Hz. Elyasa, Hz. Zülkifl and other prophets. We have a boat tour on Dicle in Eğil. After that, we come back to Diyarbakır to eat lahmacun (pizza with spicy meat filling) and pide (Turkish pizza with ground meat). It is almost evening now, and we decide to look at the Hevsel Gardens from the city walls. It looks really charming. We want TechnoBird to see the new Diyarbakır now, so we go to Diclekent. TechnoBird says Diyarbakır is a harmony of people of different races, cultures and times. We eat kadayıf (a kind of dessert) with ice-cream at a famous restaurant. TechnoBird also notices that the stewards are always kind and helpful. After that night, TechnoBird looks like 2 kilos heavier. Now comes the time to say goodbye. We don’t want it to leave us. But, it has to travel to see and learn more. With tears in our eyes, we wave it goodbye towards the sky. 125
