Tear in the Radio #2 - The Stolen Volume 2 | Page 13
Q. WHAT WERE THE INFLUENCES WHEN WRITING YOUR EP HAUNTED | HUNTED?
Kalie: They ranged everywhere, when we were sitting in our practice spot till 3 AM every
night writing, they would just come out of nowhere. We’d all be huddled around on the
banged up couches. The song “The Open Road” is a really important song to me, it’s
all about me wanting to make music, tour, while maintaining sanity of being homeless
off and on and finally getting my parents to admit they’re proud of me with something
they didn’t always approve of. “This Water Seems Shallow” is about getting screwed over
by someone you trusted, someone you believed was a friend when they obviously later
proved otherwise. It’s about how our generation is just screwed over mentally and how
were all just wrecks. It is about wanting to start over, forgetting everything and everyone
and moving on.
Q. WHAT’S THE FUTURE FOR RVLS?
Micket: Tour the world, play big shows with some of our favorite bands, make lots of friends
in different places and make RVLS not only something that we can enjoy and love but
anyone and everyone who loves music as much as we do
