That happened all the time but I was only seeing mostly just my male friends doing it. It was sort of a catalyst to me thinking like this is such a male dominated sphere and I can’ t take it anymore, something’ s need to change.”“ And when we started playing in bands, it was within friend groups and so many people would start bands and the members were all interchangeable,” Victoria Mandanas says.“ I tried a lot of times to start bands that never pulled through, it always seemed like it happened for a day and it was just for fun.” Weems adds on.“ This band was sort of the chance to do that.
