You will need:
- Wet look hair gel or Aloe Vera gel*
- Ultra fine glitter
- A spoon
- A container to store the gel
Optional:
- Essential oils
This DIY really gives out mermaid vibes. The best thing about it, is that you can easily make it at home! We'd reccomend using it for photoshoots seeing as this isn't something you want to walk about with in your hair.
Using your spoon, measure out two tablespoons of hair gel into your container. Add a few drops of essential oils if you're using any to add fragrance. Then take your glitter and add one teaspoon into the gel and mix thoroughly. We'd reccoment one teaspoon of glitter per two tablespoons of gel, but depending on how concentrated you want the glitter to be, you can add more as you need.
*It's important that you buy fine glitter instead of using normal glitter; otherwise it wont mix well as the flakes will be too big. Just go to your nearest craftstore and you'll be able to find some fine glitter, or you can buy some online.
