Disability Lunch and
learn sessions
On Thursday, the Disability lunch and learn sessions
proved popular in all regions. It was an informal
opportunity for staff to get together and chat about
how they’re affected by disabilities in their daily
lives, either themselves or through a family member.
Staff shared their own experiences of hidden
disabilities including diabetes, autism and mental ill
health. It was so useful to hear how people cope in
their daily lives and the small things that colleagues
can do to make life easier for them.
The new Disability Network Group is having its first
meeting at Bell Road on 21 March. Please contact
Sarah Knowler on 4545 if you’re interested and
want a chat.
BAME (Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic) group launches
The Diversity Week was also the official launch of our new BAME sub group. The BAME group will report
to The AmicusHorizon Diversity Group. It will offer support, highlight opportunities and help deliver our
corporate strategy.
If you’d like to join the BAME sub group or want to know more, please contact Lola Oyewusi or
Jermaine Sterling at [email protected] or give them a call.
