AmicusHorizon Diversity
Group (AHDG) Update
2016 is proving to be a fantastic year for diversity
and inclusion at AmicusHorizon!
Following the success of our very first AH Diversity
week in January, we’ve continued to push diversity
up the agenda in more ways than one.
Disability Networking Group
On 21 March, the AHDG launched the new
Disability Networking Group – a lively positive
network for staff.
Colleagues brought their lunch along to the Bell
Road Board Room to join in the informal group
chat. Staff shared their experiences of living with
long term illness whilst working.
The group discussed ideas to help staff with their
health and wellbeing, including the launch of
regional walking groups. More information coming
on this soon.
The Disability
Networking Group is
open to all staff and is
held every six weeks.
The meeting rotates
around the three
regions. The next
meeting is on
Friday 13 May,
Grosv House,
BR 10.2a from
12-1pm.

Knowler for
more details.
Diversity Strategy
approved!
The Strategic Board recently overwhelmingly
approved the new Diversity & Inclusion
Strategy. This is great news and means that we
can progress what we’re doing in a meaningful way.
A big thanks to the AHDG who worked alongside
HR to develop the strategy. Read the new strategy
At the next AHDG
meeting we’ve a special
guest, Steve Douglas,
Vice Chair of the
Strategic Board, who
will be giving a talk.
This meeting is open
to all staff and video
conference will be
available in all regions.
So join us on Friday
20 May from 2-3pm.
