So what is the difference between alligators and crocodiles ? By just looking at the facial features of these animals , it can be seen that alligators have a round snout , whereas the snout of a crocodile is pointed .
In the alligator , only the upper teeth are visible when the mouth is closed , whereas in the Nile crocodile , the teeth of the upper and lower jaw are visible when the mouth is closed .
