Facial features of an alligator
Facial features of a Nile Crocodile
So what is the difference between alligators and crocodiles? By just looking at the facial features of these animals, it can be seen that alligators have a round snout, whereas the snout of a crocodile is pointed.
In the alligator, only the upper teeth are visible when the mouth is closed, whereas in the Nile crocodile, the teeth of the upper and lower jaw are visible when the mouth is closed.
