A good sailor, will always know where the north star is. For he knows, it will always guide him home.
That is the greatest lesson my dad thought me. He was this sailor and could read the skies unlike anyone I have ever known. He could sail his vessel without a compass at times. I loved stories like that growing up.
As I embarked on my own journey in life, I have learned the importance of having a North Star. A place of where you are forever home. A place of rest. A place of restoration. A place where there is only love.
God is that place to me. A forever home in the moment of storms. A forever home in the moments of victory and joys.
If you ever find yourself lost in your journey, reach within your heart. Find your North Star. And steer for home. Storms may cloud our vision, or we may loose our way. But behind those clouds, The North Star waits.
