You have be accountable for the life that you lead. The road that you choose. The choices that you make. You can’ t stand one foot in the world and one foot in Christianity. If you are friends with the world, you are enemies of Christ. You should then expect your life to be difficult.
When you come to Christ, you need to turn from old sinful ways. Old thinking. Old way of doing things. Turn from destructive thoughts that lead to painful memories and events. The Bible says to go in the opposite direction.
You have to believe that you are who God says you are. It’ s a choice to believe Him. Then choose to act on that belief. When you submit to God and to His will for your life, you will learn who you are in Christ.
If you believe and trust in what God says about you, things will change. You will start to see yourself as God sees you.
God never ever leaves us without a choice. God doesn’ t want to change just a part of you. He wants to change all of you.
What do you choose?
No one else can choose for you. You have to choose for yourself. If you are unhappy with yourself, the only way to change that is to choose to believe the truth about yourself declared by your loving Heavenly Father. No person can provide enough affirmation to make you believe that you are okay and keep you happy with yourself.
Deuteronomy 30:15-20-“ See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the LORD your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess. But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them, I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess. I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; 20 that you may love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”
Choose life. Choose Him. Choose Him with all your heart, soul, mind and body. Choose to believe Him when He tells you who you are. That you are His Masterpiece. Fearfully and wonderfully made for a purpose and abundant life in His care.
