Inland Empire Regional Summary
Introduction:
Team 4201 was able to raise enough funds in order to be able to compete in two regional competitions. The Inland Empire Regional was the third competition we have attended as a team and it was the first time we had travelled to this area. It was a great experience for the team as we were able to stay at a hotel and get to meet new teams from other regions and states. Below are some statistics about our experience at the event:
Qualifying Ranking: 10th
Wins: 8
Losses: 5
Points Achieved As An Individual Team
Autonomous: 341

Assist: 210
Awards Won:
Quality Award sponsored by Motorola
Dean's List Finalist (Anthony Stuart)
Lessons Learned:
It is always wise for the drive team to gain as much experience in driving as necessary as it helps out a lot during competition. Programming has now learned how to resolve issues with communication to the router. The awards team has learned what is expected in order to win the Chairman's Award. The team has learned that it is always a great idea to put in as much effort as possible in order to make the robot as presentable as possible.
