Interact

Like all DVS students, Team 4201’s members all complete at least 20 hours of community service each year. Fortunately, they have direct access to Da Vinci Science’s Interact team, a club that promotes and provides many opportunities for outreach and service. This past school year, Interact has offered more than 30 events that our team members participated in such as serving soldiers and their families at Camp Pendleton, playing soccer with children at AYSO’s Special Needs event, and partaking in the fight for cancer by running in Relay For Life. These events are not limited to local events. One our team members travels to Mexico, supported by Interact, and provides food to orphanages. Interact not only allows students to volunteer, but also to make connections with other students and the people they are privileged to serve.

Key Club

In addition, many of our members also take part in a community service club known as Key Club. The Da Vinci Key Club President, Vice President, and Editor are our team’s very own Moises Barba, Maleko Bravo, and Becky Lu. Through Key Club, our members have served all around the community in hopes of making the world a better place. We’ve been to events such as Feed My Starving Children, the Rose Parade, Wounded Heroes of America, and more. We hold beach clean-ups every third Saturday of each month. And we adopted an underprivileged family for Christmas so that we could give presents and food to them so that they could enjoy a wonderful Christmas. Key Club is a great way to enjoy volunteering while having fun!
