TurnitIn can be enabled for writing assignments.
Smarthinking Online Tutoring is available for students who need
tutoring assistance in all Canvas courses.
You can accept documents, weblinks, media, and other types of
assignments - you are not limited to paper.
8. Use the Gradebook in Canvas to record grades.
Grades are easy to download and review - for you and for your students!
No more questions like, “what is my grade in this class so far?”
9. Use the Speedgrader to efficiently grade student work.
Speedgrader incorporates a lot of useful functions including annotating
papers, using TurnitIn, and more.
Providing feedback is quicker and more efficient.
10. Facilitate/encourage communication
Use Canvas email (Communications) to correspond with your students.
Students are also able to communicate with each other through Canvas
Communications, which is not easy otherwise.
Use the “Message Students Who” feature in the gradebook. This tool
generates a message to students who haven’t turned in an assignment,
or who made a low grade. The message is generated privately to
individuals.
