Conclusions
Being a teacher may sound easy, but it is not, it implies several procedures,
methodologies, techniques, and experience that we have learned and obtained
during Teaching Practicum I and II, having a great knowledge of something doesn’t
mean that you can be a great teacher just with that, it implies many other factors that
we were not truly aware of until we got involved on it, even if some or many of us do
not end up working as teachers in the future, what we have learned with our teaching
experience and the theory that it implies, is going to be really useful for us in the
future, as being a teacher is not only telling a group of people about something, but
getting involved with them, approaching their thoughts, analyzing their behavior,
learning from your students, improving your skills and strategies, adapting and
leading with different situations, which are skills that we are going to use and need
not only working as teachers, but also in our professional life despite our job.
Despite I even complained about being a teacher or learning how to be a good
teacher before I even took these classes, as I was not really interested into this area,
now I must admit that this experience created sympathy from me to the teacher
profession, I always thought that most of the students didn’t appreciate and were
careless about most of their lessons and teachers effort, maybe because I was like
that during my teenager stage, but this experience proved me wrong, and completely
changed my opinion about this profession.
A teacher can and must always improve his techniques and in order to become a
more competent teacher am going to keep working on my skills to give my best to
my future students.
