(1397-1450), one of the greatest kings in Korean history, is famous for his commitment to improving the life
of his people and the invention of the Korean written language. In the beginning, the Korean writing system
was named Hun Min Jung Eum, meaning the correct sound to teach the people. It is now called Hangeul.
