Αρχω Winner and Honorable Mentions
In Greek , Αρχω means “ to begin something from something , to lead .” As our eighth graders prepared to step out into the world beyond Saint David ’ s , they were tasked with applying what they have learned to generate something new . This year ’ s Modern Art homage project winner was Nicholas B . for his homage to Pablo Picasso . Honorable Mentions went to Henry H . ( Vincent Van Gogh ), Kevin N . ( Marsden Hartley ), Liam R . ( Gego ), and Teddy V . ( Edvard Munch ).
