AROUND CAMPUS

Up on the Roof Garden

In early June , eighth graders assembled planters , potted soil , and planted herbs and wildflowers on the Seventh Floor terrace adjoining the fitness space at school . The 2023 Class Legacy Gift was the creation of the roof garden to grow flowers and greens that will be used for the academic program .

Enter the Oval Office

The second grade boys continued building on their historical knowledge of New York and the American Revolution during a field trip to the New-York Historical Society . With the guidance of N-YHS educators , the boys observed primary artifacts , touched objects , and viewed a variety of paintings ; all centered around the American Revolution and the creation of our American Union . Not only did our boys work and think like historians , making observations and interpretations of artifacts from long ago , they also made a special visit to the museum ’ s replica Oval Office .
