Food
The food was simply delicious , unlike many hotels where the food can be quite bland . The chefs at Danat Jabel Dhanna were not afraid to use their spices . We chose an all-inclusive package which meant that we had access to breakfast , lunch and dinner buffet , each day . There was always something on offer that we enjoyed , and our sons , especially liked the made to order pizza and pasta .
Fun and entertainment
For me , the true test of a hotel resort is how good their spa is , and Danat Jabel Dhanna met my exacting standards . I had the most invigorating full body , deep tissue massage at the spa , followed by a visit to the steam room . Did I mention it was fabulous ? Yes , it is definitely in my top five .
The beach is clean and shallow enough for you to enjoy a nice swim in the Arabian Gulf . The hotel also offers canoes for rent . There is also snorkelling and scuba diving on offer at really reasonable prices .
When you are tired of being on the beach , you can cool off in the refreshing temperature-controlled pool , while enjoying a refreshing drink at the pool bar . Top tip , ask the bartender for the Ruwais special .

Staff and hospitality
I am very tempted to mention names in this article , but I know that I run the risk of forgetting someone . What I will do instead is stress the point that of all the things mentioned above in the article , nothing compares to the care taken by the staff in ensuring that we had a safe and enjoyable stay . Everyone we met was so polite and welcoming . They made us feel like nothing was too much trouble .
I recommend that you unearth this hidden gem of a hotel for all the reasons outlined above , but especially the wonderful staff .
