The plot unfolds through a narration by Nick Carraway and follows the mysterious Jay Gatsby in his pursuit of happiness. The descriptions of the parties you will read about will successfully transport you back to the hot summer of the 1920s, evoking vivid imagery and cadence. This marvelous book should be in the must read list. My all-time favorite book is the Holy Book, Qur’an. No other book can ever be compared to the Qur’an because its author is the Creator of all the authors on this earth. The Qur’an contains the words of Allah, sent down 1400 years ago and is preserved to date. It is sent for the whole of the humanity and tells us the way of life, so that we may prosper in this world and the Hereafter-the eternal life. The Qur’an gives spiritual benefits and psychological tranquility by the manner in which it is recited with measured tone. I recommend that everyone reads i t. The book that I first held and read still remains immortal as my favourite. It seems just like yesterday when I was all set to escape the tedious realism of life and surrender myself to the adventure I held in my hands - the riveting escapade of Suzanne Collins, 'The Hunger Games'. Adventure, action, thriller, mystery, conspiracy, love, and betrayal – the book had it all to intrigue and entrance forever. I can still clearly recall the day I turned the last page of the book and felt a little as if I had lost a friend. Rahul Jose Abdullah Aziz Andrew Jason Year 11 Year 11 Year 11 Every time I read R. L Stine’s 'Night of the living Dummy', it makes the hair on my skin stand and has ever since become my favourite book. Stine’s books always have a sinister plot and this really excites me. Although his books are all fiction, the way he writes makes it all seem so real! Who did that? Why did he do such a thing? Will Holmes ever solve this case? When these questions hit you with the unease of suspense, your curious mind would self-trigger to an extent that the inanimate texts of a book will capture your absolute attention. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s 'The Speckled Band' is a must-read for readers who enjoy mystery. Books! Unfortunately, not many people understand the importance and the ability books have to transport you to another world. It is hard to pick out one book as a favourite, but one I found interesting was 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'. The trilogy had so much meaning that it made me want to read the book again and again because it was that good.
