n November 19 2015, the
Department of Mathematics at
the GEMS Westminster School
Dubai, organized a Mathematics
exhibition, entitled, ‘math 8rs’. This
was done in order to display a variety of
applications of mathematics, provide
a platform for students to showcase
their mathematical and artistic abilities
and to encourage students to formally
showcase a project or presentation.
It was the very first venture of the
Department of Mathematics.
With almost 280 students from Grade
5 to Grade 13 participating, there
was much enthusiasm among all the
participants (teac \
