“One thing that I love about
coding is that it helps with
problem solving. You have to
develop your own solutions and
you have to work on them. If it
doesn’t work the first time, then
it helps you to be resilient in your
learning because you become
committed to tweaking it until
you hit the points that you need
to get.”
“Coding has helped me by
enhancing my problem solving
skills. It helps me to approach
problems in a direct and
systematic way.”
“Programming has helped me
with expressing myself. You can
do anything with it. You can
write a programme that solves a
Caesar cipher or you can simply
do a programme that prints
‘Hello World’. I think it makes
me more creative because I can
express myself in whatever way
I want. I also do drama. With
drama it is often scripted but with
programming, it is limitless.”

“Programming has numerous
benefits such as critical thinking,
problem solving and so on.
It helps with problem solving
in other subjects such as
Mathematics and Physics, which
are complex subjects. All these
subjects require you to sit and
think. Programming is similar
because even tiny details can
change your code dramatically.
I think it is an important life skill
because there are many problems
in life that need solving.”

“I like coding and computer
science because it helps me
to get around complicated
scenarios in other subjects.
It reminds me of Psychology,
which is a theory of coding and
how information from around
is incorporated into our brain. I
think other kids should definitely
get into coding because it will
help them to think critically and
solve problems easier.”

“Programming has helped
me to think about things
more logically. It helps me to
plan what I am going to do
before I attack a situation. This
provides me with a direct path
towards achieving my goals,
which overall gives me a better
solution to my problem.”
