The year 2023 brought significant trials and challenges , some of which were unprecedented in the history of Teach For Armenia and in the recent history of Armenia and occupied Artsakh . Yet , through both adversity and triumph , resilience has shone as our guiding light . It is the resilience of our people in Armenia and Artsakh , along with our supporters , that has transformed our commitment to expanding educational opportunities into a living testament of Resilience in Action .
As we reflect on our journey , we draw strength from our foundational principles — our Kochari , a collection of unifying concepts that synchronize our movement to end educational inequity ; our ambitious 2050 Promise , a vow to equip children born today with the leadership skills to transform our nation ; and our expansion into every region of Armenia . These values and achievements underscore our adaptive approach and collective resolve to make quality education accessible to all children , regardless of their circumstances or the nation ’ s challenges . in Artsakh , which began in 2017 , was a bold commitment to resilience and inclusivity , confronting geopolitical challenges to ensure that no child is left behind . Our steadfast dedication to the children of Artsakh has remained unwavering over the past seven years and continues today as our students , their parents , and their communities navigate new challenges in Armenia after being forcibly displaced from their homeland in 2023 . This collective capacity for resilience , even in the most trying times , powers our mission and inspires everyone involved — from our students to our global supporters .
