REGIONAL INITIATIVES
To enhance team culture and address the collective needs of Teacher-Leaders , our Leadership Development Managers in the Northern and Southern regions organize biannual regional retreats each spring and fall . These retreats aim to build team cohesion , offer professional development , and facilitate reflection . Leadership Development Managers coach and support Teacher-Leaders and conduct smaller , end-of-year team retreats focused on reflection and team-building .
NORTHERN REGIONAL RETREATS
The Spring 2023 Northern Regional Teacher-Leader Retreat took place on March 25 at the Vanadzor Technology Center , with approximately 90 % of the 72 Teacher-Leaders in the region participating . Workshops covered topics such as “ Lesson Analysis and Core Data ,” “ Trauma-Informed Teaching ,” “ Emotional Intelligence ,” and “ Assessment : Principles and Approaches .” The post-retreat survey showed a 98 % satisfaction rate among participants .
The Fall 2023 Northern Regional Teacher- Leader Retreat was held on October 21 at the Vanadzor Technology Center . This retreat achieved a 94 % attendance rate , with 62 out of 66 Teacher-Leaders present . Workshops included “ Working with Students Affected by Trauma ,” “ Data-Informed Teaching ,” “ Emotional Intelligence ,” and “ Challenges in Teaching and Strategies to Overcome Them .” According to the post-retreat survey , 92 % of participants agreed or strongly agreed that the retreat supported their professional growth , fostered a sense of belonging , and enhanced overall team culture .
