I began my teaching journey in 2017 in the village of Vazgenashen , Martuni district , Artsakh . By 2021 , I was teaching Armenian language and literature at Stepanakert School No . 3 . In 2022 , I was honored to join Teach For Armenia ’ s two-year Teacher Leadership Program .
This program profoundly enhanced my teaching skills . It taught me effective time management , clear task delegation , meticulous planning , and advanced use of online educational tools . These skills proved invaluable , especially when navigating the complexities of teaching under challenging conditions .
During the Artsakh blockade , we faced severe hardships . Adaptability and flexibility became crucial as we rapidly adjusted to shifting circumstances , ensuring that education continued despite frequent disruptions . We focused on essential learning outcomes , modifying lesson plans on the fly to keep students engaged and learning , even amidst malnutrition and psychological stress .
The Teacher Leadership Program was instrumental in my personal growth , particularly in developing emotional intelligence . This skill was vital in managing the intense challenges of the blockade , enabling me to support my students effectively through these difficult times .
Now , working at Hatsavan Secondary School in the Kotayk region , I have built meaningful connections within the school and community . Engaging with students , colleagues , and parents has been a powerful source of strength and motivation , allowing me to contribute to our collective resilience and well-being .
Despite the uncertainties ahead , I remain deeply committed to education . The bond with my students inspires and drives me . I am dedicated to continuing my efforts to make a positive impact in their lives and advance Teach For Armenia ’ s mission of promoting educational excellence and equity .
