TECH SECTOR PARTNERS
We are always striving to engage the domestic technology sector in our work , especially considering the importance of STEM education and the growing sector ’ s role in Armenia ’ s economy . In 2022 , the mobile network operator and internet service provider UCOM provided Teach For Armenia with $ 32,000 in equipment , such as SIM and data cards , cell phones , and WiFi . Employees from companies such as VMWare and Index Ventures also made contributions to Teach For Armenia in 2022 through their corporate giving programs . VMWare employees in Yerevan even visited one of our partner schools to talk to students about careers in technology .
CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGNS
When Azerbaijan cut off the natural gas supply to Artsakh and obstructed repairs for weeks in March 2022 , our global community of supporters came together to support our Heaters for Artsakh crowdfunding campaign , securing $ 10,000 through social media for 190 heaters for schools in Artsakh , as previously stated .
