PUBLIC PARTNERSHIPS

At Teach For Armenia we are honored to maintain strong relationships with strategic partners who enable us to advance our mission for educational equity . These partners include the Armenian Ministry of Education , Science , Culture and Sport ( MoESCS ), other government agencies , local educational institutions , representatives from foreign embassies in Armenia , and international organizations . Last year , we hosted ambassadors and other representatives from the embassies of the United States , United Kingdom , Netherlands , Sweden , and the Czech Republic , as well as representatives from the U . S . Agency for International Development ( USAID ), the United Nations Children ' s Fund ( UNICEF ), and other UN agencies to explore opportunities for future collaboration .
TEACHING CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
To teach in Armenia ’ s public schools educators must have at least 30 teaching credits , and last year Teach For
Armenia became the first nonprofit organization in Armenia with the ability to grant these credits and pedagogical certification to our Teacher-Leaders . Prior to this , only higher education institutions could grant certificates . Now , thanks to our partnership with the MoESCS , newly recruited Teacher- Leaders who successfully complete our Teacher Leadership Academy will be certified with the 30 credits necessary to fill teaching positions within the education system that have been vacant for at least two years .
SEROOND PROGRAM IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS
The Public Partnerships Team facilitated the certification of our Seroond program by the MoESCS in 2022 , and today Seroond is officially recommended for implementation in public schools throughout Armenia . Certification by the Ministry affirms that Seroond is effective and will allow it to continue growing beyond the Tavush region where it was first piloted .
