Teach For All
Our mission to end educational injustice in Armenia and Artsakh is a part of a broader movement of leaders around the world . Connected through Teach For All , our global network includes 60 locally independent partners across six continents who collaborate across borders in order to share knowledge and best practices . Across the globe , there are 94,000 alumni working in their respective contexts to transform educational outcomes for students from low-income communities . All alumni are unified through the shared experience of teaching through a two-year leadership development program .
In 2022 , there were many opportunities for Teach For Armenia to collaborate with Teach For All and other network partners . In fact , the design of the external study that will be conducted in 2023 with the University of California , Los Angeles was first informed by projects done in other countries , including India . Meanwhile , the design of FORUM405 and Armenia ’ s Promise Forum were both modeled after the design of Teach For All ’ s highly regarded annual Global Conference . In light of the Artsakh blockade that started in 2022 , Teach For Armenia plays an active role in leading the Education in Emergencies ( EiE ) peer learning group organized by Teach For All .
We directly benefited from funding opportunities available to Teach For All network partners such as the Future of Education Fund and the Go Teach Partnership with Deutsche Post DHL ( DPDHL ) in 2022 , as previously stated . The Recruitment Team also joined five Teach For All partner organizations in conducting focus groups with university students and young professionals to learn more about their behaviors and preferences as prospective applicants . Additionally , our Head of Learning , Design , and Impact traveled to the United Kingdom for the “ School System Turnaround : Learning from the London Story ” event organized by Teach For All . During the visit , participants reflected on the role of Teach First in transforming schools in London . We are also proud to share that 10th grade Teach For Armenia student Lucha Papikyan , from the Aragatsotn region , was selected to represent Armenia on the Teach For All Student Leadership Advisory Council . She was one of eight students chosen to join the council out of 140 candidates from around the world .
