2021 began with tremendous uncertainty . Armenia was regaining its footing in the aftermath of the Artsakh war and amidst the ongoing pandemic . At Teach For Armenia , hope for the future kept us going and propelled us forward every step of the way . As hope became a rallying point for our staff and school communities , it also became the theme of our first-ever virtual fundraising event . On May 6th , 2021 , Hope For Armenia , an hour-long multi-media production curated by our External Affairs Team , was broadcasted on our website , social media channels , and in the United States through PanArmenianTV . The dandelion flower was chosen as the event ’ s symbol to convey our hope for a more prosperous Armenia and Artsakh . supporters and celebrities , and musical performances . Through the event , Teach For Armenia launched its Nation-Builders school sponsorship program and hosted a silent auction with merchandise provided by the Grammy award-winning band System of a Down .
Over the course of three months , our Marketing and Brand Strategy Team produced nearly 30 pieces of video for the run-up and recording of Hope For Armenia . Ahead of May 6th , they released the series of videos starting with “ Why Hope ,” which introduced the theme , followed by “ Springtime Debut ” highlighting our work in 2020 , “ Planting Hope for the Future ’’ the event trailer , and the “ It ’ s Your Turn ” call to action to join our movement . As part of the hour-long program , the Team produced documentaries on our Emergency Education Response to the Artsakh
