A movement is as powerful as its people . At Teach For Armenia , our work for educational equity includes many committed individuals and groups , each of whom plays an important role in achieving our mission . They include our students and their families , Teacher-Leaders and principals , Teach For Armenia staff and government officials , partners , and donors . For program participants , their two years as Teacher-Leaders is only the beginning of a much longer journey . After their time in the classroom , our Teacher- Leaders become Alumni-Ambassadors for Educational Equity and continue to advocate for their students and educational reform in different sectors and at every level of influence . As of September 2021 , Teach For Armenia has 195 Alumni-Ambassadors . We aim to provide pathways for them to stay in education , remain connected to our movement , and develop professionally . positions for Alumni-Ambassadors to keep their peers engaged with the regions where they taught . Regional Representatives are volunteers who work with Regional Heads and our Leadership Pathways Manager to organize events and initiatives for Alumni-Ambassadors such as happy hours , barbecues , sports , and hikes . Currently , we have five Regional Representatives in the Southern Region , three Regional Representatives in the Northern Region , and two Regional Representatives in Artsakh .
In 2021 , Teach For Armenia hosted two Alumni Summits in our Northern and Southern regions . During the summits , Alumni-Ambassadors networked within and across cohorts , learned from panels on education , received professional development , and participated in team-building activities .
