Twice a year , we ask students to assess their perceptions of their Teacher-Leaders and classroom environments through the Panorama Student Survey by Panorama Education and Teach For All . The survey is a set of questions measuring seven dimensions of teacher effectiveness according to students :
1 . Engaging learning environment established 2 . Rigorous expectations held 3 . Learning fully internalized 4 . Student input and idea valued 5 . Encouraging and supportive relationships fostered 6 . Understanding checked for and ensured 7 . Positive culture and learning environment created
Research conducted by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation through the “ Measures of Effective Teaching Project ’’ found that student perception surveys can play an important role in predicting student achievement . The study found that students who feel appreciated and engaged achieve greater gains with their teachers than in classrooms where teachers receive lower scores from their students . Teach For Armenia administered the Panorama Student Survey in November 2020 and May 2021 .
