Regional Coaching and Support
Throughout their two years in the classroom , every Teacher-Leader is paired with a Teach For Armenia Leadership Development Manager who provides them with coaching and support . Leadership Development Managers are divided into three regions and report to Heads of the Northern , Southern , and Artsakh Regions , respectively .
During the school year , Leadership Development Managers observed Teacher- Leaders deliver lessons and provided feedback . They also provided Teacher- Leaders with one-on-one coaching . Every year , Regional Teams organize team-building retreats for their regions . In October 2021 , 146 Teacher-Leaders participated in the regional retreats , during which they explored topics in pedagogy , communication , and socio-emotional learning .
Leadership Development Managers are encouraged to take the lead in curating educational experiences based on the needs they observe . For example , Leadership Development Manager Lusine Vardumyan organized a training series on inclusive education . Seventynine Teacher-Leaders participated in the online series , which touched on topics such as learning disabilities and Individualized Education Programs . In an exit survey , 80 % to 90 % of participants indicated that the sessions on Autism and managing difficult behaviors were effective to highly effective . Last year , Leadership Development Manager Alberta Piroyeva also organized an online learning series , touching on topics such as lesson planning , storytelling , and learning foreign languages through song .
