Selection

While the Recruitment Team brings in applications , our Selection Team works to identify candidates who share our values and are the best fit for our Leadership Development Program . In 2021 , Teach For Armenia engaged a total of 436 candidates in the selection process . By June 25th , the Selection Team surpassed its annual goal by shepherding 128 people through the selection process and to the beginning of Teach Leadership Academy , which is our summer training program for new recruits . This year , the Selection Team piloted a new model which made interviewing a large number of applications and identifying the strongest candidates easier .
Teach For Armenia is also proud to be the first organization in Armenia to leverage the one-way video interviewing platform Spark Hire as part of its selection process .
Applicants to our Leadership Development Program were admitted along three pathways : General Pathway for university seniors and professionals , Current Teacher Pathway for established educators , and STEM Pathway for recipients of our scholarship . While the pathways each had a different combination of steps , all three converged in the final stage of the selection process – an online Pre-Service course . In Pre-service , candidates were introduced to Teach For Armenia ’ s Kochari and our 2050 Promise . It is designed to frontload expectations and prepare candidates for their two-year leadership development journey .
