We believe in the power of people to change their lives , communities , country , and the world . Human capital drives growth and development , which is why investing in people is the most important investment that any country and organization can make . At Teach For Armenia , we work to cultivate leadership at every level of our organization and school communities . Through our two-year Leadership Development Program , we are catalyzing a movement of impact-driven leaders who expand educational opportunities for students nationwide .
In 2021 , our team succeeded in scaling every one of our initiatives . During the first half of the year , we continued our Emergency Education Response to the Artsakh war and hosted our first-ever virtual fundraiser , Hope For Armenia . In the spring , we launched our Nation- Builders school sponsorship program and recruited individuals , organizations , and companies from around the world to invest in our school communities . In September , we expanded to our ninth region of Armenia and grew our Seroond School Leadership Pathway from a single pilot program to a network of three schools in the Tavush region . By December , we implemented Change- Based Learning for the third year , resulting in 300 pitches for Student-Led Innovation Projects and enough funding to implement 200 of them .
Moving forward , we are collaborating with various stakeholders to raise the quality of education that students receive and to invigorate the education talent pipeline . Teach For Armenia is working with the Armenian Ministry of Education Science , Culture , and Sports to accredit our Teacher Leadership Academy as an alternative pathway into teaching . We are partnering with Yerevan State University to develop a high-quality master ’ s degree in education that is entirely online . Additionally , we are enlisting Armenia ’ s growing technology sector to help solve our education crisis . Through our Tech4Armenia initiative , technology professionals will be able to teach STEM subjects in rural communities while maintaining their current employment . In the summer of 2022 , we will host the FORUM405 conference on education . Named after the year the Armenian alphabet was invented , the conference will bring together stakeholders in the field to explore the role of education in sparking
