REFLECTING ON OUR JOURNEY

Some years ago , Sam and Sylva Simonian sat with me in their kitchen over coffee as I proposed the idea of Teach For Armenia . At the time , the organization was only a dream — a mere vision of a plan to transform our country through our shared passion for equity in education . It was there , over coffee , that our journey began .

Not long after that conversation , Sam and Sylva became the foundational supporters of Teach For Armenia . Since then , they have been consistent allies along the way , helping us through the challenges and sharing in on our achievements .

Now , years later , Sam is the Chairman of our Board of Trustees . We ’ re honored to have such a valuable supporter along on this journey with us , and I could not think of a better partner for the road ahead .
