collaborating with adults in an atmosphere of trust and patience . I remember when I was young I was building a house out of whatever I had handy — paper , scarfs , sticks , etc . That was very naive but it was the way I tried to make a safe space for my creativity . I had the same feelings during KER , where each of us had a safe space to voice our opinion and also took that safety with us deep in our hearts , back to our communities . KER motivated us to take ownership of our future , even if it ’ s with small steps and alongside adults to shape our collective future . ”
