STEP TOWARDS HOME PROGRAM
Teach For Armenia
As in previous years , TFA was entrusted with the organization and implementation of the educational component of Qayl Depi Tun ( Step Towards Home ). This is an annual state program run by the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs . Young diasporans apply to this program with the expectation of becoming more familiar with their historic homeland , improve their Armenian language skills , and establish connections with local people .
Fifteen of our Alumni-Ambassadors and Teacher- Leaders worked with 400 Diaspora youth between the ages of 13-18 from over 30 countries . Although most of the participants did not speak Armenian at first and had very little knowledge about their
